Materials Department

The Materials Department works closely with industry, each of its centres undertaking research and consultancy for industrial clients, non-government organisations and government agencies. The Materials Department is recognised internationally for its activities. We are a major contributor to Cranfield being third in the UK for the impact of its mechanical, aeronautical and manufacturing research*.
